04 : The Great River

Even as they gazed, the Silverlode passed out into the currents of the Great River, and their boats turned and began to speed southward. Suddenly the River swept round a bend, and the banks rose upon either side, and the light of Lorien was hidden.
Normal sudoku rules apply.
Digits in cages MAY repeat, but must sum to the small clue, if given. Digits orthogonally adjacent to a cage may NOT be included within that cage.
The three digits in the Elven Boats (circles) are distinct.

Definitely worth its rating, and worth playing as well. I figured out some secrets quickly, but I had to use fresh eyes a few times to really apply them. Very wonderful, thank you.

My first 4* puzzle! I was hesitant to go for it at first, based on rating, but as I have started the LotR series (amazing so far by the way), I felt compelled to give it a try. Very nice flow and constraints, the logic has probably clicked in my brain as it was challenging but not overwhelming. Very happy to have completed it!

Beautiful puzzle. The instruction set is so simple and it's difficult from the start to the end.
