Yin Yang: Opposite Day

Normal sudoku rules apply.
Shade some cells such that all shaded cells are orthogonally connected, all unshaded cells are orthogonally connected, and no 2x2 cluster of cells is entirely shaded or unshaded. Every orthogonal path that is fully contained within shaded cells must increase or decrease, with 1 and 9 reversing the direction. Two orthogonally adjacent unshaded cells cannot be consecutive.
A digit on an arrow indicates how many digits of the opposite parity are in the direction of the arrow. A digit on an arrow also indicates how many shaded cells are in the direction of the arrow, not including the arrow cell.
Cells on a thermometer are either all shaded or all unshaded. Digits along a thermometer increase from the bulb.
Digits separated by a white dot are consecutive.
