This is my third puzzle with the same rule set. When Mark Goodliffe solved the second one on Cracking the Cryptic there were three different versions of the rules: the one showing in the video, the one in the Youtube video description, and the one in the link to the puzzle. People really hated the rules. One comment was “Worst-written rules ever.”
If you comprehend the negative constraint on circles and lines and understand how yin Yang sudoku puzzles work, this is pretty straightforward. If you don’t, I encourage you to start with “Yin Yang +/-1” and if you hate these rules, solve my last puzzle, “Yin Yang Cages” instead.
THE RULES:
Normal sudoku and yin Yang rules.*
+/-1 lines. Adjacent digits on a line differ by 1 and share their yin Yang region. All possible lines are given.
Circles: there are 7 circles in the grid. A digit in a circle indicates how many circles contain the digit and a circled digit in a yin Yang region indicates the number of times that digit appears in that yin yang region. All possible circles are given.
Dynamic fog: one cell is covered in fog. Correctly placing a digit in a particular cell will clear the fog.
*Normal sudoku rules: place the digits 1 to 9 in every row, column and 3x3 bold outlined box.
*Normal yin Yang rules: there are exactly two yin Yang regions of connected cells in the grid. Every cell is in one of the two yin Yang regions and shares an edge with at least one other cell in its region. No 2x2 square of cells in the grid is entirely in either region.
LINK TO PUZZLE: “Worst-Written Rules Ever”
Lösungscode: Yin region cells in Row 2 left to right, then Yang region cells in row 2 left to right. Row 2 Column 1 is yin for this solution code.

I loved this puzzle!
Almost got myself in trouble with a partial understanding of the negative constraint, but then realized the full definition and had a wonderful solve.
Great ruleset.
