Rules: Normal sudoku rules apply.
Circles: Place nine circles in the grid: one in each row, column, and 3×3 box, with the digits in the circled cells forming a complete set of 1–9.
Cages and Xs: Digits may not repeat within a cage. If an X is in a row with circled digit A and a column with circled digit B, the digits in the cage containing this X sum to A×B (A and B need not be distinct).
Lösungscode: Row 2 with the circled digit in brackets, e.g. 123(4)56789.

This one was hard for me, but I was glad to persist and try again the next day and finally complete it. Loved how smart the setting was up til the very end. Awesome puzzle!

Kaktuslav is the greatest setter of our time! As always, this puzzle was smooth, with brilliant deductions required, and a beautiful solve path.

Very nice! Solved it with only a few tiny hints from Simon...
The puzzle could have used a row and column for notes, though, to keep track of circle candidates.

How do you come up with this stuff :) Genius setting. This is one of those "stare stare stare GOT IT solve solve solve" puzzles. Loved it!

At the end after filling the boxes I feared a difficult sudoku, but then I found the logic.

I had to state at the rules for a couple minutes to wrap my head around them but totally worth it haha. Brilliant solve path really.

Wow, that was great fun. I had the right idea for the break-in quite quickly but then I made so many wrong deductions that I had to start over two times. :-)

Lovely puzzle. Requires some thinking to get started, but the positioning of the cages and Xs lead to a very smooth solve path. I rated it 3* rather than 2* because of the initial break-in.
