20 Almost Balanced Lines

The Rules:
- [Sudoku] Place the digits 1-9 once each in every row, column, and 3x3 region.
- [Almost Balanced Lines]On lines, the sum of the even digits and the sum of the odd digits are almost equal - that is, they are off by one. Digits may repeat on lines if sudoku allows.

Hey, Rocky, inspired by your puzzle, I created a variant using products of odd and even digits instead of sums, off by one of course. "Dome 11 - Almost Balanced Products"

Really impressed with the way you applied the ruleset to set up the break in, and arranged it in a way to draw the solver's attention. Great example of a puzzle that truly "breaks" on a key deductive step. Thanks for sharing this.

The break-in is 4+ to get full value. After that it solves smoothly,. But it is such a cool and unexpected break-in that it took a while, and a break, to see it. Top rank puzzle for the break in and also for making the whole thing work.

One of the best puzzles I ever broke! I was able to find the wonderful break-in, but it took several hours until I finally realized that the break-in was even more wonderful! What a puzzle! Thank you so much for creating and sharing this masterpiece.
