Don't Touch The Fog!

Normal sudoku rules apply. Put the Digits 1 - 9 in every row, column and 3x3 box.
Black Kropki: Digits separated by a black dot indicate one digit is double the other. Not all possible dots are shown.
White Kropki: Digits separated by a white dot are consecutive. Not all possible dots are shown.
Killer Cages: Digits in killer cages sum to the number in the top-left corner. Digits may not repeat within a cage.
Thermometer: Digits on thermometers increase from the bulb to the tip.
German Whisper: Digits on a green line must differ by at least 5 from adjacent digits.
Parity: Adjacent digits along the red parity line must alternate between odd and even.
Renban: Digits on a pink line must be a string of consecutive digits. These digits can be placed in ANY order.
Arrows: Digits along an arrow sum to the digit in the attached circle.
Fog: Placing correct digits clears fog in that cell and may clear it in other cells - In this puzzle, filling digits hidden by fog is not necessary, BUT, can be done if the solver chooses to.

Nice, could the same challenge of not placing digits on fog be achieved by having the fog not automatically clear in a cell where a digit is placed, or is that not possible in the software? Because as others have said I still used the knowledge that the digit was there even though I hadn't placed it yet, which felt a bit off (even though it's an interesting restriction to have).
Sorry if you feel the feedback has been overly negative, that's not how I intend it, thanks for setting.

That was pretty neat! I decided to leave only notes in the fog (my memory's not good enough to avoid marking it up at all), and it was neat to see how it unfolded that way.

I didn't know the concept of being able to CHOOSE how you solved the puzzle would confuse / upset so many people... This to me is very confusing. I was making solvers aware that you didn't NEED to enter digits hidden in the fog, and following the clues as they were given was enough to solve the sudoku D:

I quite liked the option of not entering foggy digits (even if known)
Some fog puzzles rely on you deducing a digit under the fog to proceed (which is fine) but knowing explicitly this wasn't required here gave another option to the solve.

Did it without touching the fog. I love this addition to the rules. You might conclude this makes the puzle even easier as it tells you clearly where to look and where not to look.

I am not sure if i filled in fogged in cells. But I see now that it make the solving more of a challenge. I may try to solve it again.
