This time MathGuy_12 and myself teamed up to create a kind of nonsense we hope is up to the occasion.

This puzzle uses a nurikabe take on gdc's schrödinger variant of the somedoku ruleset from blackjackfitz, and of course it is in a full rank puzzle.

• Schrömdoku Nurikabe:
  • Shade some cells such that all shaded cells are orthogonally connected and no 2x2 area is fully shaded or fully unshaded.
  • No two different connected groups of unshaded cells may touch diagonally.
  • Fill each shaded cell with a digit (0-9) and each unshaded cell with two different digits (0-9) such that row N and column N contain exactly N unique digits.
  • One of the digits in a cell marked with a circle is equal to the count of the up to 9 neighboring cells of the same shading group, including itself.
  • One of the digits in a cell marked with a diamond is equal to the count of the up to 8 neighboring cells of the opposite shading group.
• Full Rank:
  • The values on columns and rows, read in both directions, make a total of 36 numbers of nine to eighteen digits each.
  • Clues outside the grid show the rank for the indicated row/column among those 36 numbers, where the lowest is 1 and the highest is 36.
  • Rows/columns containing unshaded cells with a double-digit number may be more than nine-digits long. Regardless of the direction, digits in an unshaded cell are read in increasing order.
  • Numbers may have leading zeroes.
  • One or more equal numbers are considered to be at rank N when there are N-1 numbers of strictly lower rank. (For example, we say there are three numbers in rank 20 when there are 19 numbers of lower rank and the next rank will be 23, i.e. the ranks could go ⋯, 19, 20, 20, 20, 23, ⋯)
• No two digits along a yellow line may be equal or consecutive.
