An Exercise in Colouring

This is a small and easy puzzle I set a while ago and for some unknown reason it never saw the light of day. I was playing around with region colouring puzzles as they interested me at the time (we can blame the miracle sudoku) and this grid looked neat.
I hope you like it!
Happy solving!
- Normal 8x8 Sudoku Rules Apply. Place the digits 1-8 once each in every row, column and marked region.
- Adjacent cells along a green german whispers line differ by at least 5.
- Digits along the arrow sum to the digit in the attatched circle.
- Normal thermometer rules: digits increase in size from the bulb end.
- Cells separated by a black dot are in a 1:2 ratio, not all such dots are given.
- Cells along a pink renban line form a string of consecutive numbers, in any order.
- Finally, digits that see each other by knight or kings move (in chess) cannot be the same.

Great puzzle! The colouring was fun. I also found that I didn't need the thermo, but it keeps the design symmetrical :)

Very nice puzzle! I always enjoy coloring puzzles. Somehow I did not use the thermometer at all. After coloring the arrow seems to resolve by the renban lines.

How interesting! Putting it through f-puzzles solver, it seems there is a still a unique solution without the thermo.

Forgot about the kings/knights rule for a while and was really struggling- after realising i was missing rules it was such a nice puzzle yay!

After coloring the whole grid, it was really easy to identify all the 9's. Yeah. Thanks for a fun, if humbling, puzzle.

I started by exhausting the possibilities in the GWs and arrows. In hindsight, probably should have started with coloring. It’s literally in the name of the puzzle!
