Picky neighbors

(Eingestellt am 19. April 2026, 20:35 Uhr von Lithium-Ion)

This puzzle has been my eighth feature on Cracking the Cryptic (click here to see Mark solving it) and it combines region-sum lines with a quite strong constraint regarding allowed pairs of neighboring digits (feel free to use the list of allowed combinations below). I hope that you enjoy the puzzle. Constructive feedback is always appreciated! The rules are as follows:
Normal Sudoku rules apply. Box borders divide blue lines into segments with the same sum. Different blue lines can have different sums. If two digits (called x and y) are (orthogonally or diagonally) adjacent along a blue line, then x as well as y has to be an integer multiple of the difference between x and y. For example, 6 and 4 are allowed to be adjacent on a blue line since both 6 and 4 are a multiple of 2 (the difference between 4 and 6).

Allowed combinations:
1: 2
2: 134
3: 246
4: 23568
5: 46
6: 345789
7: 68
8: 4679
9: 68

Very nice construction. After making a list of allowed combinations it narrows things down quite a bit. Time wise for me 2* but i can understand if some think its more of a 3*.
Thanks!
