I still don't understand the rules of this even after VitP's explanation. What does "IN SEQUENCE" mean? Everything is good until I place the 3 and 1 in column 8, solution checker matches, and now nothing can go in r5c8 since it now must be the same colour from there to the bottom, what am I misunderstanding?
You can see the clue as an arrow circle and digits on the arrow are of opposite color. Arrows may be continuous but can also be interrupted by color that is not counting towards the total. Arrows must end on a non counting color or on the edge of the grid. I hope together with the visual example it will make sense now.
I only now noticed my example could have been better because the red 9 points to 423 which also adds to 9 but the summed digits are green 2 and 7.
Grts, Jonesy.

Fun once I read VitP's comment about the rules!

Thoroughly enjoyed. Surprisingly smooth after the break-in, which took me some time. Thanks!

i think the rules need to reworked, mainly to include a statement of the form ...
"a red clue (say) adds AT LEAST TWO green cells IN SEQUENCE"
anyone who wants a hint, start in box 2
that would be sufficient, because it IMPLIES the clause " ... but not necessarily all", which could then be omitted.
the current wording STRONGLY SUGGESTS the incorrect interpretation that ALL cells of the relevant colour must be used.
