Introduction:

Welcome to the Mad House. A comment from one of the CTC videos inspired this puzzle and the new line type. The creation of this puzzle got a bit out of control for what I'm used to, but "Howling Mad" isn't a descriptor of sanity, so I just went with it. This is also my first fog of war puzzle, so I hope this all comes together well. I also tried putting letters next to the lines to indicate what the lines are, to make the puzzle more accessable. Some letters I had to use best judgement for the placement, but might still not be perfectly clear.

Please send any comments my way.

Rules:

Regular sudoku rules:

Place the digits 1-9 in every row, column, and box

Kropki Dots:

Black dots separate digits that have a 2:1 ratio. White dots separate consecutive digits. Not all dots are given.

X:

The X symbol separates digits that sum to 10. Not all X symbols are given

Anti-Knight:

Digits a knights move away from each other cannot be identical

Dynamic Fog:

Fog will revealed along a set path

German Whisper Lines (GW):

Adjacent digits on the green lines have a difference of at least 5

Dutch Whisper Lines (DW):

Adjacent digits on the orange lines have a difference of at least 4

Parity Lines (P):

Adjacent digits on red lines alternate between even and odd.

Entropy Lines (E):

Any group of 3 consecutive cells on the peach line must contain one low (1,2,3), one middle (4,5,6) and one high (7,8,9) digit in any order.

Nabner Lines (N):

Digits placed on the yellow line must be a set of non-consecutive, non-repeating digits, in any order.

Howling Mad Lines (HM):

Purple lines do not follow any traditional line rule set. In fact, no other line rule set can go where a Howling Mad line is. (specific list provided below, as well as an image of impossible Howling Mad lines)

Was übersehe ich bloß??? Ich sehe auch diese Mini-Linie oben, die howling mad-linie. Aber mit der kann ich ja nichts anfangen, denn ich weiß ja noch nicht, wie lang sie sein wird.

Merdock: At least as far as my intended solve path, the digit in row 1 column 4 helps place the digit in row 7 column 2. To get into greater detail would require me knowing how far along the board you are. If row 1 column 4 has not been unvieled, then you might be solving for row 7 column 2 a little soon. I'm still a little new to the platform, but if there's a way to privately message me I can better help you with this deduction.

I might also mention, and this is a tiny tiny spoiler, but not all Howling Mad Lines are designed to assist with the completion of the puzzle. The Howling Mad lines were initially purely cosmetic, but after I completed the puzzle I got the idea for this ruleset for them. I re-worked the puzzle as best I could to implement the new rule, but some of the Howling Mad lines still ended up being more cosmetic than necessary. The longer the line, the more cosmetic it is.

I replied to your hidden comment. I'm not sure if doing so made it hidden from you. Please let me know if it is no longer visible to you.
