House of Cards (6x6)

House of Cards, by James Sinclair
Normal 6x6 sudoku rules apply within the 6x6 grid.
Cells outside the grid contain skyscraper clues, which indicate the number of digits visible in that direction in the 6x6 grid (where higher digits block the view of lower digits).
Each cage sum is the same, and digits may repeat within a cage.
Digits in cells separated by a gold dot are not consecutive.
Note: cells outside the 6x6 grid are ignored for solution-check purposes.

Hints, starting with the most vague (highlight to read):
1.
I suspect this will be a puzzle that some people solve through bifurcation, but no bifurcation is necessary, I promise.
2.
Consider the minimum possible sum of all skyscraper clues combined.
3.
Every skyscraper clue sees the 6 in that row or column. Exactly half of them see the 5...

Lösungscode: row 5 (not including the skyscraper clues)

I got the break in and solved it on my own, but I constantly felt like I wasn't proving my beliefs sufficiently rigorously. But reading the hints now, I clearly was thinking about it in the right way. It's such a weird puzzle and I'm very glad I solved this one! Thank you for making this =)
