Today we have puzzle created for Scojo's prompt, as redeemed by LMDemasi, to create a fairly approachable doppelgänger puzzle :-)
I hope you will enjoy and I would be really grateful for all the comments and ratings.
Normal Doppelgänger Sudoku rules apply:
• Fill each cell of the main 9x9 grid such that every row, column and 3x3 box contains a 0 and eight different digits from 1-9
• Fill each outer cell with the digit missing from the corresponding row, column or box
• No two rows, no two columns and no two boxes may be missing the same digit
• For each 0 in the grid, the digits missing in its row, column and region must be three different digits
Killer: Digits in a cage may not repeat and sum to the total given.
If you liked this puzzle, I recommend trying out my other puzzles: The Erica Series:Lösungscode: Row missing 6 from left to right (9 digits).

A bit of a shot in the foot with the 2/5 on this one, as while hopefully, after having existed for close to 5 years and given birth to well over 60 puzzles now, this variant can hardly be called “completely new”, and while this puzzle is indeed among the more approachable ones of this kind, it *does* seem to assume a very good command of the track cells, which beginners would not have…
That said, the use of track cell clues was really good, and it was really fun seeing them almost all filled while the main grid was still like 3/4 empty, and just as fun unraveling after that – really enjoyed the puzzle, thanks for sharing! :D

this really isn't "approachable".
the fact that it's a completely new variant should be a clue. nobody will have ANY experience on how to deal with this. level 2 AT LEAST, just by existing, and in the event, at least level 3.
