There are 9 VAMPIRES (digits 1-9 once each) in the graveyard (grid); one in every row, column and box. There are also 9 VICTIMS (digits 1-9 once each) in the graveyard; one in every row, column and box. The value of a vampire cell is the sum of its digit plus the digit of the victim cell in the same box. The value of a victim cell is always 0. The value of a natural cell is its digit.
Every coffin (cage) contains either a vampire or a victim. The total shown for each coffin is the sum of the two VALUES of the cells contained therein.
Along green lines, adjacent cells must have VALUES that differ by 5 or more.

This puzzle is another exercise for me of reading the clues fully! It took me at least 20 minutes of head-scratching before I finally spotted that "Every coffin (cage) contains either a vampire or a victim" :D after that the puzzle very neatly unfolded nicely and the 2* rating made sense!
Regardless of my inability to read, thank you for all of these puzzles Blobz, they've been a delight!

I can confidently say that Vampire ruleset is not for me. It felt like a good puzzle as always, but for some reason vaults ans/or value altering effects just break my brain

According to my solving time it was a perfect 2* puzzle. Still, it‘s quite challenging to always keep the different values for all the rules in mind. :-)

As you can locate almost all of the V/V-cells right from the start solving this got very smooth. Great setting! Thank you very much for creating and sharing this lovely puzzle.

Very nice 3* puzzle which I found hard but got there in the end. Only my second 3* solve and it took just under 46 minutes - I don't know if that’s good or bad.
