Normal Sudoku rules apply, but once again strange things are afoot..
Fog has filled the land, thicker than ever before, and within it, lurk many Creatures of the night!
Yet fear not! If you can find them, friendly Wisps will aid you navigate the fog. There is a Wisp in each row, column, and box, marked by a pale blue dot. Cells containing a Wisp index either the row, column or box number (read in normal reading order) they're placed in. Each number assigned to a Wisp is unique and can't be repeated. All Wisps are given. Fog cleared by Wisps leaves an eerie blue light.
The Monsters!
Zombies: marked by a green dot, zombies have an infectuous bite. Orthogonally adjacent cells are even when the zombie's number is even, or odd when the zombie's number is odd.
Vampires: marked by a red dot, vampires suck the power from their victims. Orthogonally adjacent cells sum up to the vampire's number.
Headless Horsemen: marked by an orange dot, horsemen have a knight's reach. Cells a chess-knight's move away from the horseman can't contain the same digit as the horseman's number.
Poltergeists: marked by a grey dot, poltergeists throw everything into disarray. Orthogonally adjacent cells are either all higher than the poltergeist's number, or all lower.
Fog: the land is covered in dynamic fog. Putting in correct digits will clear the fog for that cell. Finding a Wisp will clear more fog. No guessing is required. The monster under your bed will know if you cheat!
Love, Brigitte
P.S: Roughly one year ago I published my first sudoku, Creatures in the Fog. It kind of became a huge success, and was a big reason why I continued making these puzzles. So, thanks to all the puzzlers and the boys over at Cracking the Cryptic!
P.P.S: My previous puzzle, Global Warming, didn't garner much attention. I put a huuuuggee amount of hours into it (trying so hard to make the Global Entropy work before settling for the Zones). Would love it if a few more folks would try it, at least to see it get a rating!
Lösungscode: Row 1 from left to right (9 digits in total)

this was an incredibly clever puzzle with some fun deductions, particularly with the Wisps. 10/10 I hope you make more.

This was a tough one for me (104 minutes), though I did overlook things at times. I probably wasted 35 minutes staring at where the 9 wisp went until the lightbulb clicked on.
I understood the rules correctly from the beginning, but started to question that when I got stuck. In the end I was able to rule out any rule confusion pretty easily.
I marked it as 3 stars, but 2.5 is probably more accurate.
Anyway, fantastic puzzle as always. I will look at the global warming puzzle at some point, but I really only do fog puzzles these days. Thanks for the hard work setting.

This way very fun and creative! I agree with the others about all wisps are given description. I was stuck on that for a bit. But it makes sense because of the fog that it is talking about cells that are revealed only. After I figure that out it flowed very nice and was super clever!

very nice idea.
i am not a fan of fog puzles, becouse of bad visibility ;)
it would be nice if the fog could be made with lighter gray

Nice little puzzle, at first read I thought the number of monsters might be confusing with the number of rules, but it did flow well.
For the "all wisps are given" mentioned by others, i read this as all wisps are marked, so if the fog lifted on a square that wasn't a blue circle, it's not a wisp, and any wisps deduced are confirmed as it reveals itself with a blue circle

> All Wisps are given
I don't understand this rule. How can R4C9 be the number it is without being a Wisp?
EDIT: After reading other comments, I think I get the idea, but I would word it differently.

One thing I take issue with is the phrase "All wisps are given." This gave me the impression that it was a negative constraint, i.e. if a cell is not a wisp then its digit cannot refer to its box, column or row. Great concept though, fun puzzle!
