at the vortex spot

So Calvinball talked to me about puzzles with more than one parity mirror and it inspired me to make this thing.

  • Hexagonal Kakuro: place a digit from 1 to 9 in every empty cell such that digits do not repeat in an unbroken row of cells with no dark cells separating them. A number in a dark cell gives the sum of the numbers that clue sees in the indicated direction.
  • 2358: Only the digits 2358 are given in the clues, any instance of 014679 is represented by a ?. Clues don't have leading zeroes.
  • Modulo 3 Spin: Cells that differ by a 120° rotation around the central cell have digits in the same residue class modulo 3, i.e. in the same set of [147] [258] [369].

very nice! Would have certainly helped me to think more conceptually about that spinning thing in the beginning.

I also made multiple incorrect deductions at the beginning, so I had to start over a bunch. Thankully never made an error once I had broken a little bit into it.

I have no idea how you come up with some of this stuff but I'm oh so glad you did. Consistently good and hard in here, while never feeling unfair at the same time.
