Going Round in Circles

This puzzle was set for one of Scojo's Setting Saturday Prompts where the randomly chosen constraints were german whispers and counting circles.
Play in SudokuPad
Place the digits 1-9 in every row, column and 3x3 box
Adjacent digits along a green line must differ by 5 or more.
A digit in a red circle is equal to the number of red circles containing that digit.

Boy this was hard for me. Excellent logic though, very satisfying in the end. The second step after the fairly easy break-in was also very clever I think.
