Blue or Yellow?

(Eingestellt am 8. September 2025, 15:43 Uhr von marty_sears)

Rules:

Draw a snake connecting the two green spots. The snake must be one cell wide, may only move orthogonally, and may not touch itself (not even diagonally.)

Adjacent digits along the snake must have a difference of at least 5.

A digit in a coloured circle indicates how many times that digit appears in a circle of that colour.

All circles of one colour are on the snake. All circles of the other colour are not on the snake.

Please leave a comment if you enjoy :)

Fun and flowed nicely, thank you!

The ruleset reads like it is going to be a very hard puzzle, but it telegraphs just enough to make each step come naturally without being obvious. A very nicely balanced puzzle.

I definitely overthought the break-in and started trying to think about the various numerical combinations possible for circles and how to make the numbers fit. Got stuck and overwhelmed with too many options.

That was a mistake. I started over by looking at the other rules first and that was MUCH easier :)

So rating 3 stars because of that alone but once i switched which rules to work forwards from it definitely became 2-star

Yep, gorgeous.

It is really hard to make out the yellow on my mobile and tablet. Perhaps orange would be pretty, or pink.

As everyone said, what a great break-in!

Thanks a lot. This reminded me a vast deal of the Finkz-Puzzles. Always going very smoothly. It was on the lower side of 2* for me, but I think this is because I spotted the break-in really fast. I loved it!

Not too easy but not too hard. Classic Marty. Cheers!

Solves like a charm. Thanks!

I loved the opening to the puzzle. My intuition towards the break in turned out to be right. I like these sort of "build-a-path"/"shade the grid" puzzles, and this one was fun.

Wonderful! Several “there's no way ... aha!” moments.

Easier than expected, but perfect setting as expected. Wonderful idea executed in a beautiful construction. Thank you very much for creating and sharing another lovely puzzle.

That‘s a nice and quite approachable interaction between snake and two sets of counting circles. Thanks for sharing.
