an oldie, but a goodie.
almost GAS, if you know the pattern.
perhaps the main thing to note is how much more powerful the TOOLS are these days, and this is why sven's sudokupad is the best program, by a factor of 10.
check out simon's clumsy solve from way back when, and compare it to what can be done today ... entirely due to the software.
