For about six digits I thought "Why is this 3 stars?" Then I got mired in chipping away here and there - I may have even missed some intended logic. But I eventually freed myself and reached the end.

Nice puzzle. Great flow 2.5* till mid where one 4* look at a lot of stuff at the same time idea was necessary. Great fun thx.
