Miracle 22

(Eingestellt am 9. März 2025, 06:29 Uhr von FireTruckFuel)

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

White dots separate cells with consecutive digits. Not all possible dots are given.

Black dots separate cells with digits where one is double the other. Not all possible dots are given.

Each complete row of the grid functions as an Entropic line. Every set of three adjacent digits along a row contains one low digit (123), one middle digit (456), and one high digit (789).

Each complete column of the grid functions as a Modular line. Every set of three adjacent digits along a column contains one digit from (147), one digit from (258), and one digit from (369).

The central 3x3 box must form a magic square.

I may not have followed every step for disjoint :D, but the connection between the black dot and the magic square seems to click perfectly.

This was very nice! For a while I was stuck until I decided to make the rule disjoint, and after that it was easy-peasy lemon-squeezy. Loved it!

First digit - 30sec; second digit - 10min; finish - 12min.

Really fun entrance to the puzzle. cool idea.

I thought that was going to be tough but I found it quite easy.

Thanks for the comment KillerCard10! The solution is unique if only for this specific arrangement of Kropki dots. The code is added to the solution message for convenience only (copy/paste). Mentioning disjoint in the solution message is meant only to draw attention to the fact. The best part of this solve, in my opinion, is considering why the solution is disjoint after the puzzle is complete. I didn't want anyone to miss that detail. "Do you want a cookie?" Is merely playful banter.

I got this comment that said, “I didn’t say to make your solution disjoint. Do you want a cookie? Here is the solution code [solution code]”

Strange, because the solution code matched my what my puzzle generated… I’m assuming that’s because there are multiple solutions? Seemed contradictory. Would love an explanation!

It took me a while to realize that I could edit other peoples comments and that they would be notified. I did reply to your comment the day it was posted but you may not have seen it. I think I have been playing around with solution messages a bit too much. Thanks for making that known to me!

I think there is one solution that happens to obey disjoint logic although not mentioned in the rules.

The start is really fun and interesting. The latter half of the puzzle solves itself and, in the nicest way possible, becomes a bit more of a chore than a solve. Very nice for a lazy late morning.

I loved the break-in. And the rest resolved all by itself. This is good stuff for a sunday morning.

If you have seen a puzzle with this exact set of rules before please let me know where I can find it. Enjoy!
