Primal Parallels

(Eingestellt am 7. März 2025, 21:00 Uhr von XeonRisq)

This is a twist on 10-Lines where the total for each line will instead be one of two prime sums, 11 or 13.
The addition of anti-quads to the grid proves to provide some interesting interactions throughout.
Hope you enjoy...
  • Normal sudoku rules apply.
  • Prime Lines : Each line consists of one or more contiguous groups of cells, and the values of the cells in each group must sum to either 11 or 13 (but never both) per line. These groups of cells cannot overlap. Which line consists of 11 sums or 13 sums must be determined by the solver.
  • Anti-Quads : Digits in a circle must NOT appear in the four surrounding cells.

  • The graphic for the lines has been refined and updated by Allagem so that the
line tool in SudokuPad can be used to denote when multiple groups are on a line.

When I tested this puzzle, I relied on memory instead of colors to remember which line used 11 sums and which line used 13 sums... I do NOT recommend this technique! ;)

This puzzle was intimidating at first due to some unusual clue types, but the layout is intentionally designed to ease you into the logic, and by the end I very much enjoyed the solve! Great puzzle Xeon, and thanks for the shoutout and usage of my 10-Line graphics :D

Thanks for the feedback and the solve. And the change to the lines was a welcomed improvement on a constraint that needed the update. It helps so much to keep track of where the sum breaks are.

Beautiful puzzle! For me 3* difficulty, esp. compared to your other puzzles. Thank you:)

A pleasure to see you as always Elliott, and yeah a bit easier than my norm. I just wanted to do something interesting with modified 10 Lines and found a few things in this grid worth building a puzzle around. Appreciate the feedback/solve..

Fun puzzle. I think it's lower end 4*.

Thanks for trying this puzzle out. Also, I agree about the difficulty, but I have a hard time estimating an ambiguity puzzle at 3 stars and this one feels just a tad bit tougher than that. Only time will tell how the solvers rate this one.
